Tannille: Damn it, I love rainbows. You’re being difficult…
Muse: Me? I threw Care Bears and My Little Pony at you.
Tannille: Yes and they have copy write. I suggested mythology; Norse, Irish, Greek, Chinese – take your pick.
Muse: Mythology scratches my itch. The Chinese goddess Nuwa sealed slits in the sky by using stones of five different colours, keeping heaven from colliding with earth and creating chaos. A very cool alternative to the rainbow bridge concept.
Tannille: Yay, so we write a story about the first DIY goddess?
Muse: In 100 words? Piss off. Have you been drinking?
Tannille: No, but maybe I should…
I’d go with the DIY goddess. A lovely idea

😀I thought so too. Imagine if she botched the job.

The first DIY goddess, now that’s a thought to challenge me. Some say that alcohol is great for washing ones hands.

What a waste of alcohol… but hard times…

Dear Tanille,
That pesky muse. Sometimes it’s hard to get a straight answer from her, isn’t it? Cute. You made me smile.
Shalom,

Thanks Rochelle. I think we need up lifting stories during these strange times.

I’m reliving Care Bears and My Little Pony with my 5 year old daughter at the moment. They haven’t got any better… The mythology story sounds intriguing.

Poor you. The new gen MLP and Care Bears aren’t the same. Poor kid needs vintage. 😀.
I liked the mythology story the 100 word limit scared me off.

Tough to put interesting stories in 100 words!
Drinking will make it possible?!
Stay home. Stay safe.

Some stories just are suited to the 100word realm.

The rainbow is a distraction. Why is there an empty mooring? At a time when travel is forbidden, why did he creep away in the night and more to the point, where on earth could he go?

lol, those pesky muses are never there when needed. But, yeah, a DYI goddess sounds like a good story….

This time I got the idea, however, once one has written a lot of 100 word stories and novel scenes one starts to understand how many words are needed. So I chickened out lol.

Haha! Love the fact you’re arguing with your own Muse – you know you’re supposed to keep them on side, right? 🙂
Love the idea of the Chinese and her stones – beautiful

Nah bickering is fun lol. Believe it or not, I only do this for my muse stories. She’s kind of morphed into a character. 😀

To be fair, my Muse sometimes needs a good talking to – especially if she fails to turn up when I really need her!

I find regularly writing helps but there is no promise…

I think you’re right. Regular habits are fantastic. You train your brain to know when you sit at your computer or whatever – now’s the time

Your muse always provides us with some light relief 🙂

She provides me with entertainment lol. Strangely she only comes out for these stories. Most of the time I’m on auto when I write.

Nuwa is new to me, Tannille, so thanks for that.
Have you thought about a more co-operative Muse, hmm?
But she is amusing!

Nuwa was news to me too. I Wikipedia rainbows. Thought now there’s an idea, then realised 100 wouldn’t scratch the surface.
The muse scoffed at your co-operation suggestion 😀. I’m just grateful for the bones she throws.
Thanks C

You’re lucky to have a regular dialogue with your muse. Mine gave me the cold shoulder quite some time back.

My muse wasn’t having it this morning either. She’s been feeling neglected. I’ve been working on editing lately. So, I did other things while waiting for her to wake up. I ran with the first thing she threw at me.

They are fickle. Sulk if you’ve been too busy. Show up only when they want to. But yay she threw you a ball. 😀

I’m with your muse, it might be too big an ask of her to write about the first DIY goddess in only 100 words. But, maybe it’s worth a try. I enjoy the dialogue with your muse!

We shall see, the muse wants to play with the DIY goddess. Imagine all the bad repair jobs lol.

Yes, that was a nice piece, I find my muse prefers to shut me up, in these times of the pox, I’m finding myself with more time on my hands but less time or inclination to write, its odd, thank goodness for prompts like these.

I only seem to have these conversations when I am stuck on Friday Fictioneers. It does amuse me… 😀. Some times working with hands works. Go with the flow!
Thanks Shrawey!

That is hilarious! I hope the wine was nice. Did you write the story to name and shame your muse? Thank you for the laugh!

No wine that night. I don’t drink much anymore. I think the muse named and shamed me. Haha.
