Hecate, the Greek goddess of crossroads, tapped her foot at the multilane intersection. Her job, much easier during the classic days. The paths narrow and small. Not to mention slower. It gave her time to read minds and detect those in her need. Choosing life directions her specialty. Moving left, right, or forward made all the difference to life’s journey. However, what mortals failed to accept is all roads lead to fate, only details change. Nowadays, the living moved in a flash. No time to contemplate.

On the road, a yellow car sped. The driver teary-eyed. A suicide mission.

“STOP!”

The vehicle cut through the red light. The Sunday driver on the green light heard the goddess and braked.

Fate – intermingled threads of life.
