Note for Tannille followers:
A quick reassurance that this post doesn’t feature my fiction and is a rarity. Thank you for your support! Read on to find out about me, the writer.

Huge shout out to fellow writer Tina Stewart Brakebill for nominating me for the Liebster Award. Thanks Tina, it was an awesome surprise. Strangely Word Press sent it to junk – the horror. I must admit, I found the rules a tad intimidating…

  1. Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you.
  2. Share 11 facts about yourself.
  3. Answer the 11 questions the blogger(s) asked you.
  4. Nominate 11 bloggers and make them happy!
  5. Make up to 11 questions and ask them to your nominees.

11 FACTS ABOUT TANNILLE

  1. As a writer I value freedom of speech, the arm of freedom of expression.
  2. Hypocrisy in any form drives me bonkers.
  3. I tend to learn and create by looking at the big picture and funnelling down.
  4. Psychology fascinates me.
  5. I’m a tarot reader. For the most part I use decks as a creative writing tool. Cards also good for diving into psychology and journaling. Fortune telling isn’t my thing but fun every now and then.
  6. Thunder and lightning give me a natural high.
  7. Humour pulls me through life. I love to laugh, especially at things I shouldn’t…
  8. I read way too much Sweet Valley during my formative years. But hey at least I read and have a grasp of outrageous plot lines.
  9. Paranormal Romance is my guilty pleasure – no pun intended. FYI, no porn on this site. My writing leans more towards Urban Fantasy. Although sex sells… hmm maybe I should reconsider…
  10. I love to crank up music and lose myself. Mostly rock and new wave.
  11. Want to know more? Look up INFJ personality type. The descriptions fit amazingly well.

QUESTIONS FROM TINA

Do you adhere to a writing schedule or do you write only when inspired?

A: When I was younger I use to wait to be inspired. At some point I acknowledged I have one lazy muse and routine is better for productivity, 99% of the time it’s the inital start that is the struggle. Typically I blog during the day and work on my novel series at night.

Where’s your favorite travel destination?

A: Where ever my mind sends me. Usually fantastical worlds.

Do you have a bucket list (as in a list of things that you want to accomplish before you die)?

A: No. Life changes. I believe in embracing opportunities and setting realistic goals.

What’s been your favorite age so far in your life? Why?

A: I love the self discovery and self acceptance that comes with age. Unfortunately, we live in a world that idealism youth and that can eat away at worth. Pros and cons to everything.

If you had to choose—would you rather have super-hot weather (average in the 90s+) or super-cold weather (average in the teens or below)?

A: Once I would have been a champion for the cold. I grew up in a desert. In my 30s, I love between temperatures (my medical condition turns my muscles to jelly in the heat and cramps in the cold). My favourite is a sunny winter’s day and soaking up the rays (temperature about 20c).

What’s your favorite thing about writing your blog?

A: The likes stroke my ego and encourages the muse. You can read many flash fiction stories about my “colourful” muse under the muse tag. She’s very vocal.

Do your friends and family read your blog regularly?

A: Only my mum. Others just aren’t interested. That’s ok. The idea is to find an audience.

Sweet or salty?

A: Sweet! Rediculously sweet. Borderline vomit sweet.

What’s the best job you’ve ever had?

A: For the better part of a decade, I have been facilitating local writing groups (status: in hiatus, thanks virus). Watching members grow as writers is amazing. Knowledge should be shared.

Would you rather ride an elephant or feed a baby chimp?

A: Feed the baby chimp if the creature needs feeding. Not sure I believe in elephant riding. Huge animal lover. Yes, I watch cat videos on YouTube – one of those people. 😀

Did you think about not participating in this award because you didn’t want to think up eleven questions (or answer eleven questions)?

A: Hahaha yes, eleven seems a bit extreme. Answering is fine. Coming up with questions we shall see…

    1. Lucky where I am, I think we are on the main power grid, the one that feeds into a hospital, train, freeway etc, so if the power goes down it’s like 10mins. Of course I’m no expert on power. 😀

  1. Sh*t! I dropped my phone and now don’t know if my responses (so far were flushed or are waiting for your approval.). I’ll wait a bit. (Figured the least I could do is answer your 11 questions…) I was on no. 7…

  2. I see we have some things in common, 6 (I love a summer thunderstorm. I just go out and stand in the rain.), 7, & 10 (Hip-Hop and Soul, though.)

I would ride the elephant while feeding the baby chimp. We would be best friends and have a buddy comedy/action-adventure, or maybe just go to Starbucks. I don’t know what baby chimps eat, but everybody loves Starbucks. Banana Latte?

    1. Best answer ever. Now what to give an elephant? Red Bull? Gives you wings. A flying elephant! I’m starting to feel like this is attached to the pirate play conversation we had about your story. We can add a thunderstorm, chimp, elephant, banana latte and fight over music. 😀

      1. Calm down! First, we do the pirate thing. Then, we ride the elephant with the baby chimp in a thunderstorm. You’re gonna wear yourself out before we build robots and hunt dragons. Isadora had the idea of making a spaceship out of candy corn. How brilliantly awesome is that? We can alternate who plays DJ for each adventure.

Unless Disney lied to me, all you have to do is give the elephant a feather to hold in its trunk and it flies. I’m pretty sure that’s scientifically accurate.

      2. Oh I see you’re the brains and have this all figured out. 😀
No way would Disney lie. All men are princes and we all live happily ever after.
I refuse to hunt dragons, they are great pets…. just need a bit of house training, like don’t burn the sofa.

      3. We don’t have to kill them. We find their secret lairs, sneak in, grab a handful of gold, and sneak back out. How else are we going to fund these adventures? Starbucks is expensive.

      1. Ooh, role playing. O.K. I’m Henry Oddbody, a used underwear salesman from Tallahassee, Florida. This year, I’m chairman of the used underwear salesmen convention in Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee. Masks are required. If you don’t have a mask, one will be provided for you. We have a reserve stash recycled from used underwear.

      2. I could throw forth a smart arse muse who likes to swear a lot… Now that would be recycling. Other than that I’ve got thinking at the moment. She’s giving me the finger.

      3. I think I’ve met her. I swear at my muse more than my muse swears. I’ll wait for your character but don’t take too long. I have some of Henry Oddbody’s sales pitches floating around in my head. They’re gross.

  3. I really like your beautiful blog. A pleasure to come stroll on your pages. A great discovery and a very interesting blog. I will come back to visit you. Do not hesitate to visit my universe. See you soon. 🙂

  4. I’m glad that you tagged a guilty delight in ‘likes’ because that can be tricky to admit to. Good on you. I also prefer sunny winter days, thunder and lightning and am sugar addicted.
However, I don’t think I’d ever get on an elephant, only because they’re too high. I’m not a wildlife creature fan, so not interested in the chimp. And I wish that I could at least rely on my family and friends following my blog. 🙂 Same, but different too.
