Eris, the goddess of discord, leaned against the stone wall of an ancient alley way and yawned. People walked by in an orderly fashion. The passing crowd, paid for beverages at the small outside store. Small talk rung in her ears. All so civil. Had she lost her mojo? Her presence enough to cause strife.

She tapped her chin… Perfect. Pushing up her assets, she threw back her shoulders. Honing in on her victim, she smiled.

“That fruit is delicious. You should take a piece back to your lover.”

The man shifted his weight. “I’m alone.”

“We can fix that…”

Fingers reached out towards the basket. Eris smirked. His hand jerked back.

“You should pay for that.”

Blood boiled. Damn Harmonia! The eternal kill joy.

Note:

This story features the Greek goddess, Eris. She was known as Discordia to the Romans. Harmonia is the Greek goddess associated with peace & harmony.
