Hey there, my wonderful reader. Today’s challenge write a double drabble. Double drabbles are teeny-tiny stories (200 words for your reading pleasure).

Handcuffs clinked. She jerked awake, nose twitching, wrist shackled to her desk.

What the fuck?

The office chair rocked with the force of her body as she struggled. It was no use. She was one with the desk.

Think!

Key. With her free right hand, she rummaged in her drawers. No luck. She tossed about items on her desk.

Shit!

Taking a long shot, she opened her notebook. A note glared at her in black ink.

You’re handcuffed to the desk. You refuse to sit down and write. Now suffer the consequences. Write me a story, Babe.

Damn it!

She’d joked to her husband about chaining herself to the desk so she could combat writer’s block. The social media craze “Write La Misery Style” took the world’s writing community by storm.

She turned to a page as blank as her mind. A warm mug of coffee steamed by her arm, its message mocking her — One random act of kindness at a time.

You can shove that up your arse.

Picking up a pen, she jotted a story idea: Man handcuffed to bed and denied pleasure.

Being handcuffed didn’t hamper the muse; her writer’s block ended and his cock block began.

Note:
This story is a satire honouring Stephen King’s novel, “Misery”. In short, “Misery” is about a crazy fan holding her favourite author hostage and forcing him to write.

This story was inspired by the Fiction Short’s prompt —

F
