Flash Fiction: Pandora

This week went Greek (mythology) again, a spin off from Hecate’s story Crossroads.

Pandora adored the 21st Century. The rise of online shopping, cemented the use of boxes. Sure some items were sent in satchels or envelops. She cared naught for them. Boxes gave her a high. They could hold so much, or so little. Oh the surprise.

Daily she strolled streets, hoping to stalk deliveries. A game she played with herself. She ignored the full letter boxes stuffed with bills and junkmail. Her nose turned up.

Bored she contemplated giving up. Across the road a box waited unattended by an iron gate.

Well hello.

She picked the parcel up and shook. Tick-tick.

Why did it tick?

“Shi-“

BANG. 

Pandora travelled to Hades… Again…
