Flash Fiction: Light Changing

The new phenomenon so pretty floating, lighting up the waterway. Some claimed the glowing orbs were a gift from the gods. Others believed they were a sign from the one and only God. Atheist clung to science, searching for answers. And potheads swore they were here all along. 

For a brief time in human history the bickering stopped, captivated by the illumination. Morale climbed the rainbow night sky. The round disks offered escapism, a free mind caught within its spinning web. The balls grew in numbers, more to travel around the globe. 

Life grand and peaceful… until they hatched. 


The Muse likes her ego stroked, leave a comment and she'll do the same... unless there is a glitch... or human error...
