Painted by muses. Only the special see the world beyond the mural. Step into the forest if you dare. Most end up with a bloody nose — a collision with brick, you must believe. Look carefully, at dusk and twilight, during eclipses and storms, the leaves whisper on the trees and the ducks flap their wings. Sometimes a light flickers in the cottage window. Did you miss it? Did you blink? Maybe you’re not special…
“Maybe you’re full of sh—”
“Go on, try it. Run into the mural it’s real. I swear…”
Smack.
Laughter.
“Hey, when did the light turn on?”
What a lovely idea!

As long are there are no wolves in the forest.

Not a true believer, or just fell for a prank? I’d like to believe it was possible to step into that mural.

Me too. But the story could be read either way.
Thanks, I.

If only we knew, who controls the light?

Some things are best unknown. But, the curious always want to know.

I started with a similar idea, but went a different way. OK, at the end, I am assuming the light in the cabin turned on, so maybe…

Maybe it’s a prank. The Muse affirms it’s real.

We seem to have gone in a similar direction, painfully so! Nice one, Tannille.

I think a handful of us did. The mural has a life of it’s own.

Oh that poor kid, must have hit their head really bad for the light to go on. Or did they get through? I love it.

This reminds me of the old Looney Toons cartoons. Remember when Wile E. Coyote would paint walls or mountains to trick the Roadrunner, and the Roadrunner would run through them, but Wile E. Coyote would try and slam into them? Fun take, T.

Ah back when cartoons were violent. Team Coyote!

Ah, it would be fun to step into a painting as long as you could get out again 😊

Nicely done! A magical mural. I was thinking of that too but ended up with Christchurch. I’ll see if my muse is up for some magic…🙂
