Dogs, cats, children – dealing with the same beasts. Gorgeous, charming little monsters. Don’t let it fool you as they look up with big beautiful eyes. Their plea identical – it wasn’t me honest.

Damn, so convincing. Be strong.

Rule 1: Don’t fall for their bewitching ways.
Rule 2: Don’t reward bad behaviour.
Rule 3: Don’t laugh.

“Get out of my sight.”

Before I crumble and hug.

Bloody hell, who is going to clean up this mess?

A: The dog?
B: The cat?
C: The kid?
D: The parent?

The correct answer is D, also known as me. Monsters not so adorable now…

  1. I’m not even a parent, but I’m 100% with you. There are three dogs in the home, two of which are often referred to as “Chaos” and “Anarchy.” Their mother just says, “I do what I want. I’m Charlie.”

      1. They are definitely the dominate species. Funny story, after reading your post, I caught one of the on the kitchen counter eating one some meat my roommate left out. I didn’t know she could get up there.

  2. Loved, loved this Tannille. You did a brilliant job and it was also so funny. It’s that bordering on horror humour. Yikes. Let me out of here and yet, we wouldn’t leave that chaos and love for anything. Our place fits in with all these homes described in the comments. We have three dogs and I always feel strange going to someone’s house where you don’t have to think about where you’ve left your food and whether the dog’s going to get it. We had a rescue dog and she used to jump up on the kitchen table to steal food and had no manners. She’s now become the saint because the tw pups are like a tornedo speeding through the house.
Our kids are now 15 and 13 but a few weeks ago our daughter caused a fire on the stove heating up a pot of il to deep fry while I was still asleep. We had two fire engines out with 5 fire fighters. Embarrassing.
Hope you have a great week.
    Best wishes, Rowena

    1. Oh wow. Your daughter’s fire sounds like something you could use for a story. I would have crapped myself waking up to that! Not to mention the production of the fire department. Guessing you didn’t say the dog did it haha.

Don’t have dogs myself but one of my cats will sniff/eat anything unattended. That has lead to some awkward moments with guests lol.

Got to love the little monsters…

      Thanks R!
